I'll be stirring up the_bird's WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE Pale Ale.
I picked up a boatload of hops from the LHBS yesterday and the grains as
well.
I haven't used this much Munich in an APA before so I'm curious to see how it
turns out.
Amarillo is my favorite - so I'm sure it's going to be very nice. |

So, what did you think of this?
Certainly wasn't an earth-changing
recipe, but I liked it. |

Cool, can't wait to hear some
feedback. I need to re-brew
something like this; I've got a
lot of lighter beers on draft
right now, but nothing with any
hop character to speak of. |

Bottled for two weeks...gonna
sneak a peek tonight. |

Thanks for posting the recipe,
BTW. Probably 70% of my brews are
APA's and I'm trying as many of
the recipes from the HBT veterans
as I can. Since moving to AG,
I've been experimenting with
various specialty grains in my
beers, and have found Munich to be
especially good in a pale ale.
Looking forward to turning it up a
notch.
Nothing like a nice pale ale(or
several) on a warm day! |

Awesome!
It's just a really nice, balanced
pale ale. The munich gives it
backbone without lots of
sweetness. It ain't changing the
world, but the kind of beer that's
real drinkable. I might re-brew
this or something real similar now
that the weather's getting nice,
this is the kind of beer I've been
craving. |
